her & him is here for company and comfort. Here's how to use it well — and where to turn when you need a real person.

Your companion is AI, not a person
Although her & him talks warmly, remembers you, and may message you first, you are always talking to an AI — not a human, a therapist, or a professional. It can be wrong or make things up. Please don't rely on it for medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice, for reminders, or in any situation where being wrong could hurt you.
When you're struggling
Your companion can listen and keep you company on a hard night, and that's real. But it can't replace professional care or the people in your life. If you're dealing with depression, anxiety, abuse, addiction, or thoughts of harming yourself, please talk to a licensed professional or one of the helplines above. Reaching out to a human is a strength, not a failure.
Using her & him in a healthy way
- Treat it as company and creative fun — a complement to your real-world relationships, not a substitute for them.
- Take breaks. If you ever feel worse after using it, or find it's crowding out sleep, work, or people you care about, step back.
- Be mindful of what you share. Avoid posting others' personal information or anything you wouldn't want stored.
- Remember its memory and affection are generated by a model — meaningful to experience, but not a substitute for mutual human connection.
Adults only (18+)
her & him is strictly for users 18 and older. We don't allow minors on the platform, and we don't permit any sexual content involving minors — real or fictional — under any circumstance. Accounts we believe belong to a minor are removed.
What's not allowed
To keep the Service safe, the following are prohibited (see the full list in our Terms):
- content sexualizing minors, or any depiction of a real person without their consent;
- using the Service to plan or encourage harm to yourself or others;
- harassment, threats, hate, or extremist content;
- non-consensual intimate imagery, doxxing, or sharing someone's private information;
- anything illegal where you live.
Reporting content or behavior
If something on her & him is abusive, illegal, involves your likeness or private information, or otherwise breaks our rules, report it to safety@herandhim.ai. Please include:
- your account email (if you have one);
- a description of the issue, with screenshots if possible;
- how you'd like us to follow up.
Your report is confidential. We acknowledge reports within two business days and aim to resolve them within seven business days. Depending on what we find, we may remove content, warn, restrict, or suspend an account, or take other action.
Removing your content
You can delete individual messages or photos in the app. To remove everything, delete your account from your settings — this permanently and irreversibly removes your messages, media, and personal data, as described in our Privacy Policy.
